I herd that it is covered under my warranty, but i am not sure. i just bought the computer 2 months ago. So what is the cheapest way because the normal upgrade costs a lot of money?

Yes currently i have a 2.99 p4 processor , and i want to upgrade my computer because i have had it for a while and vista is coming out soon. So my main question is how come all the Duo speeds are like 1.8-2.66ghz and for 2.66 is $400 more. Why would they be slower then a regular core processor. Fill me in because i have no idea and do not want to make a bad choice. Thanks for answers

My T1862 Emachine died. No power. but I have stuff I need to save on the hard drive. Its 60GB, so I want to take out my hard drive and buy one of those nifty external enclosures and make it an external hard drive for my new computer. I see they come in different sizes. 2.5" 3.0" etc. How do I tell what size encloseure to buy?

my computer keeps fuzzing(fuzzy lines and dial-up sorta noise) when i use hotmail, yahoo answer and wikipedia but it doesnt crash while im emulating. and it doesnt crash when my sisters play neopets, runescape, adventure quest, dragonfable.

I have a pc with 128mb integrated video memory. If I buy a 128mb video card, will that add to the memory I already have or replace it?

Example: VGA (128) + Card (128) = 256 original memory

or just the 128 of the card?

Ok, here's the problem, every now and then after I shut doen my computer I can't power it back on. When I press the power button, the amber light above it flashes, but the power does not come on. This usually lasts about a week, 2 at most, then it starts up normally. this is very frustrating and unpredictable. What could be causing this? Is there anything that I can do to stop this from happening? Don't want to take in to a shop yet, I would like a less expensive alternative. I appreciate any help I can get. Is there any way I can get my computer back on????

The computer with the Core 2 Duo is $250 more, but it also has 2 times the DDR2 and a 320 gb vs. a 250 gb hard drive. I really don't need 2 GB of memory or a 320 GB hard drive though. Which one would be a better buy?

Right now I have a 512 MB video card, and I want to increase my AGP aperture to match. However, when I go into BIOS I'm limited to a maximum of 256 MB. How can I increase this? Would updating the bios fix this, or do I need to get a new motherboard?

When I ran the upgrade advisor it said my printer has no compatibility data but the box said it would work with Vista. Also it said my cable modem and onboard video were not compatible. So if I upgrade to Vista will these work?

For some time now my computer has not been playing sound through speakers, or headphones. I have both types of sound plug in,(parallel and on board). It all started when a friend of mine plugged in his mic to the computer and i believe my plug and play hardware changed my settings. I took it apart everything seems in order, all good connections and sound card seems not blown. Does anyone have any tips to help me out? Thanks

i have shortlisted two configs dor processors-motherboard combination.....help me with which 1s better....
intel core 2 duo E6600 + intel D965RY (FSB -1333 Mhz)
or
amd athlon 64 FX-70 + asus P5N-E-SLI (FSB -1066 Mhz)
and is asus here better than intel's motherboard as it has more FSB.....plz help me out people !!!!....
and should i prefer amd or intel here ......main pc use is gaming entertainment browsing.............do i need a graphics card if i go for asus here ???

Way to fix my computers boot?
I have several things about my computers boot i want fixed. First When my hp starts i see the blue hp screen then after that i go to a os select screen. I want to skip this. Secound after the Windows xp loading screen only shows for about 3 secounds with that blue bar moving then it goes to a black screen for about 15 secounds before the login screen shows Is there a way to get rid of this wait, or have the BOOT SCREEN run longer during that 15 secounds?
