Yes. After time dust builds up on your motherboard, cpu and many other wonderful places. While it may seem like dust will only trigger an asthma attack it does much more. It acts as an insulator keeping your computer hot even when it tries to cool down. Also It causes things such as heat sinks and fans to work less effectively. Dust can be deadly for laptop, too much dust and your computer will overheat frequently because of tiny cooling systems (1 small fan over cpu, etc...)
Do clean your motherboard, cpu and everything else periodically to avoid dust build up. Be careful not to fry your motherboard in the process though with a static shock, ground yourself before diving into your computer. Also most cpu fans aren't design to run at incredibly high speeds so don't blow on it/use compressed air to clean it. You may end up breaking the fan if you don't secure it so that it doesn't spin.

Yes, it insulates electronic parts and blocks passages for air intake and exhaust. It just makes it more difficult for your computer to remain cool inside. To much heat and your computer can do some strange stuff. It really is amazing how hot it can get in a computer case (especially around the hard drives) and everything will work fine. But there is a limit, and dust can put you over it. Not to mention the optical drives, which can be rendered useless if the laser is covered with dust.

Hi
Yes it does , my suggestion is get an air compress can , and just spray it over the sysboard , then take out the fan of the cpu and clean it too

Yes it does. It actes as an insulator traping heat and making it harder for your fan to cool which can slow your computer and altimatly damage or shorten the life span of your board.

Yes, it restricts airflow but it will be time to get a new computer way before it hurts anything unless you over clock. If you are concerned just get a can or air and blow it out.

Yes.
Think about a parka in the winter. Keeps you nice and toasty.
Dust does the same to the mobo.

Good answers. If you clean it with compressed air, don't spin the fans with the air. It will turn them too fast and destroy them.
