Our comp. keeps getting pop ups saying registry needs cleaning. We just installed brand new hard drive, and we're still getting the pop up.

According to your description,there may have some regsitry errors in your PC to cause "registry error".You need to clean you PC.
Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer you create junk in the registry.You need to scan and clean your PC with registry cleaner.

You don't need registry cleaning, you need antispyware to get rid of the spyware that's causing those popups. Start with Ad-Aware SE (www.lavasoftusa.com) and Spybot Search and Destroy (www.safer-networking.net). Have them download the latest updates, then reboot into Safe Mode to run the scans.

1- what is ur OS???? it commonly comes with win 2000 and some time "XP"....
2-u dont need any spyware or other tool (if u want to here is link http://www.pcsleek.com try for free)...this is security problem..
right click My computer then "Manage" and see in Installed program " there must be one or two Program which ur OS has not Installed....c it......when u install this or that program completely at that time pop up will not bother u any more...
3-it happened to me when i used win 2000..my OS was unable to install my Mother-Board's built in Sound card...so i searched from web then installed it...and pop up stopped worrying me..bye
