How can I make my dad buy me an "Apple" Mac Mini computer in a short amount of time? I need this to be very effective, because my Dad is a complete tightwad.

Why do you need a mac so bad? I'm not going to put down the product, but for the amount you are going to spend on it there is no point, unless you are going to run programs like final cut pro. My advice is to get a dell. Macs really are not that special, because in the long run they are just computers.

Macs use superior hardware. Macs come with most of the software you'll ever need, as opposed to purchasing tons of software for a PC. A Mac mini can connect to keyboards, mice and displays you may already own. Macs run silently. Mac OS X is vastly superior to Windows XP or Vista. What more do you want?

Tell him that according to Consumer Reports, Macs have the highest quality product and tech support of any computer so they are the best for the money and the Mac Mini is the cheapest of their products. A PC using writer on ZDNet also said that to upgrade a PC computer to the equivalent of a Mac, the PC would cost more. Let him know that the whole family can use the computer. That might help too.

The Mac Mini is not for a tightwads like your dad. I'm sorry, but you still need to buy accessories for it if you don't already have that stuff. Macs are expensive, even their cheapest stufff.

show him how cool it is. The Mac mini is an amazing machine for its size. Tell him what you can do with it that will not work on a cap PC.
