i wanna buy a computer and i dont know if intel core 2 duo 1,86 Ghz is better or something like Intel Pentium 4 (531) 3 GHz?

The core 2 duo would be the better processor, but 'better' for you depends on your specific processing needs and budget. If you don't need a lot of push, a core2 duo may be overboard for you. In that case, save some money and go for the P4.
