I had my computer for about a good three to four years now, and sometimes when i turn my pc on, a statment " cmos battery low " will pop up, and if i skip the settings, it will reset all my applications that i have on my pc.
About a week ago, i opened my pc to clean the dust inside and i bought a new cmos battery. I inserted the cmos battery thinking it was going to work, but it did not; it stated " cmos battery size wrong" when it's the right battery size. So I inserted the original one back into the motherboard, and i still keep getting the same statement " cmos battery size wrong.''
My questions are, could this be a sign of the motherboard going bad? Or could it be that the battery that i purchased was a bad battery?
