i just purchased a geforce 6300 gt and put it in my hp amd athalon 64 x 2 4200 pc and when i was playing some games some discolored dots appeared on the screen so i restarted my computer and it wouldnt start. I took the video card out and then it worked fine? anyone know?

Hello. My laptop was on ground. It had headphones attached to front. I stepped on the end of the headphones where it goes in and it was pushed down with my foot, pushing down the socket with it and now it is loose. when i put in headphones(no matter which ones) the sound is only heard on one side, and i can only get it a little bit on the other side when i fiddle with the socket. It works playing sound without headphones, but i need headphones for certain things.

How can I use my headphones properly? Is there any USB device which I cna plug in and connect headphones to?

I have an HP Pavilion Media Center TV Pc
Model Number: HP Pavilion m7750n
My Monitor is a LG Flatron Wide LCD 22`` HD
They recomend me to put all the setting at high so i do but for the screen resulution i put at high on the LCD one. but then when i play the game it`s a bit langy. I think i have 366mb of ram on my card. Is it possible that i might not have enough memory for my graphics card.

I just bought Flight Sim X. My comp is an 'E-machine. It is capable of running this software, but it won't. It keeps giving me, Your Virtual Memory Is Too Low. I have dumped anything I don't use, defragged, and restarted. There must be some kind of folder or file I can empty or delete to get this thing going. No, I don't have a memory stick and no, I'm not about to spend any money.
Please, help me. I am standing by.....

my husband is going to iraq soon and i wanted to be able to con=mmunicate with him. i heard about pc to phone calling but you have to have a headset and a very lightweight laptop (for easy carrying). i dont know what the feature is called that the laptop would have that you can plug the headset into for communication purposes. does anyone konw what the name of the feature is called?

. I have a Toshiba Satellite L25-S1216 laptop. I have never had a problem with it, and I've had it about a year now. Last night I was using it earlier, and then i put it down like I usually do. Later that night I went to use it again, and I just lifted up the top, and a message (a black screen with white letters) was on the screen and it said something like "windows could not start up because the following is missing or corrupt:" and then it had some kind of a code. I just pressed the space bar, and the message went away, but now the screen just stays black. I turned it on, and it will turn itself on, then off, then on again. Does anyone know what is going on, and how i can fix it??? thanx for your help!

I have a HP LaserJet - approx. four years old. I have recently upgraded to Windows XP and have downloaded new drivers. Now I am trying to switch from parallel port to USB. I have made all changes that I am aware of and it still won't recognise the USB. Have have gone to HP's web site and only get confused! Please help!!

The battery seemed to have died and refused to charge. I bought a new one and thats ok but what is the protocol? Do I use the battery for a while and then plug in to charge or has the battery got to be run down completely before charging?
I can find no instruction with the laptop nor with the new battery.

Most games play fine on my desktop, but a few of them are slow and choppy. I have 512MB of RAM( well 2 256 cards). Could that be the problem? Would 1 gig solve that, assuming its not the video card??

i built a pc which contains a biostar p4m80-m4 motherboard,a p4 cpu 2.0ghz,a ati raedon 64mb grapics card with built in tv tuner,1 gig of ram.3 led fans with a 600 watt power supply.and 2 hard drives (40gigs & 200 gigs). I powered on the pc and nothing came on the screen but the settings for the monitor (i have a 19in crt viewsonic monitor) i have checked all the cables,power cables from the power supply,i left all the jumpers alone (still at default) and still when i turn on the power nothing happens.I refered to the motherboard manual for troubleshooting problems.I also noticed that there is no "beep" when i 1st boot the pc.The manual stated that one beep after boot means there is no errors to "post" but there is no beep when i boot,which means that post has noticed a problem.I believe it could be a problem with the video card,but im not sure what to do to see if it is the problem.My motherboard has no video embedded onto it. If someone could help me fix my problem that would bgreat

I think maybe the smaller laptop is easier to hold in your lap and stuff, but is the screen too small?

I am thinking that if I went with something bigger it will just be too awkward to hold comfortably.

by the way, I am not taking it anywhere.
