If i buy a laptop can i connect all the things like webcam, printer etc like how i connect these devices with my desktop. also buying which is better: a hp laptop or compaq laptop is better. also please tell some good laptops that are Windows Vista Premium Ready

I just signed up for Road Runner at the Time Warner building, they gave me the home installation kit and I set everything up perfectly. My cable modem is on and running, all the lights are blinking, my icon at the bottom says I'm 100% connected, all firewalls are off, I've power-cycled the modem and restarting my computer a hundred times. I even went so far as buying a new network adapter and re-installed the operating system. I've done everything. But when I open the Internet browser, it doesn't connect. Anyone know the problem?

I have had desk tops but I am unsure of a lap top...are they safe?

How long should the HP LaserJet Print Cartridge #Q5949A last? It seems I'm replacing it every 3 weeks but we're not printing that much in the office?

So I ordered a laptop from Dell on Saturday (1/27/2007) and the status says shipped on 1/31/2007 and the estimated delivery date would be today 2/1/2007. But then I looked up my tracking number on UPS.com and it said that it was shipped today and would be delivered by tomorrow. So, which one is it? Do I get it today or tomorrow. When I looked at the tracking number it said as of today at 7:00 am it was in Nashville Tennessee. Anyone else have the same problem happen to them, and when did they recieve there computer. When do you guys think I will have my computer?! It's just for curiosity, I am very anxious to get my NEW laptop... Thank you everybody!

Is there software or is there a way to do this without purchasing anything? Right now, on my current Dell laptop, I have a C: (Local Drive) and a D: (Back-up). I want them to be all one drive, and I want to do this with my new laptop as well.

..now, the keyboard and monitor will not go on.....I checked the plugs and connections. Monitor does the self-test no prob. The D drive WANTS to open, it tries, but cannot.

I fixed my aunts pc it had virus and i saved important stuff and then reset the pc and when I had reset it I installed all her programs and hardware and then installed anti virus.

I have from her word of mouth a few others looking this done its easy to do but these people don't know how at all,im not looking to get rich and say its ok for free but they are insisting ,I have no idea what to charge yet if it keeps happening I cant keep doing it for free.

My computer is running XP. The slowness usually happens when surfing the internet or this is what starts it. I do regular maintenance such as disk clean-up, empty cache, cookies and all other history, I have registry program and run this. I don't know what it is. I'm pulling my hair out and I'm ready to call the Geek Squad. Does anyone have any suggestion, please, please?
