i no longer have the disc case which had the number on it, so cant reinstall windows without it.

My HP scaner has a copier function.
I have used a real copier and it does not print every little detail. However, when I use my scanner as a copier and print with my inkjet printer, the scanner copies every little detail and the printer prints it as evenly spaced dots. If I used a real copier, it would be white and not dots.
How can I let my scanner behave more like a real copier?

need help with my printer i just got it for a friend and i want to scan picz only ....when i turn it on it says error:lightmagenta ink cartridge error cartridge replacement is necessary. press the color button to begin.
and i want to scan picz ....it won't let me ....only the copy button is on .i can't press the scan button...and when i go to the Epson smart panel it says "unable to access the scanner because it is not ready or another application is using it. please make sure that the scanner is on and connected to you computer or close all scanning applications ....

I'm thinking about buying a scanner and was wondering what size pictures I would be able to get from it. And would I get different results from scanning negatives and pictures?

Here is the resolution or whatever it is:

4800 x 9600dpi resolution.
48-bit depth.

I get perfectly good pictures taken, with good colour, and the sking tone of the people in the pics are fair/ tan, but when i scan, the pictures make the people in them extremely pale, when in the originals, they were tan. why is this happening and how do i stop this? How can i make my pics come in the normal colours instead of being more pale?

I have a HP Photosmart C4280 scanner/copier/printer All-in-One, and the scanner is terrible! The printer and copier is good, but I need a scanner.

I'm not looking for all-in-ones... just a scanner. I have a HP laptop, and I need suggestions badly. I'm not a millionare, so please don't suggest expensive ones.

~ I bought myself a Kodak easy share scanner/printer ... how many photos can I scan to my computer. I want to make a family tree DVD for my family,,,so I imagine I will have hundreds of photos,,dating back from the late 1800's till present day,,,,,will that take up to much space on my computer?

I bought a win dvr tv tunner some time ago when we got cable we hooked it up I finely got it to scan the chanles but get no picture, and it seems to only look at chanel 4 every time I change and apply it goes right back

I have an old Epson 610 scanner that I'd like to use to scan documents into PDF format. I know newer scanners have that ability with the software that comes with them.

I recently bought a second hand flat bed scanner, I am not sure of the brand but is does say color scantak spot tech. I plugged it into my pc without a problem but it doesn't power up. I assume I have to plug it into a power point but I can not find anywhere to connect a power cord. Has anyone got any idea?

Hello Im very desperate I've been trying to get a register to work with a hand scanner and I cant get it to work . I have a Casio TE-2400 register and a psc q-2500 hand scanner and I'm trying to install the cd but my computer isint letting me install the software and I tryed other computers and theyre all giving me the same error wich says I need a iKernel install I tryed to update it but nothing is letting me is there another way I can go about installing the software without using the iKernel by the way I HAVE XP and the register says to plug the computer to the register I did that but the scanner is not working I know its so confusing but maybe somebody might know I 've been trying to do this for 2 days and Im really desperate I m running out of options were opening this grocery store this tuesday and I no longer have any money to get an expert so Ive been trying to do it myself any responses will be greatly appreciated thanks!!!!

Lets say computer 1 has a printer/scanner attached and computer 2 doesn't .... I configured it so that I could print from computer 2, is there a way to scan from computer 1 and send it to computer 2 directly without the messenger or mail. Thank you.
