I have so many old photos to scan,,,can I scan like 4 at a time,,,how will my computer know that there are 4 photos and not one?

You need to scan four then cut them apart into 4 seperate photo's and save them serperatly.

Depending how big these photos are, I would do two at a time. Some scanners have AF auto feeder so you can add more photo scans. It's really best to scan one at a time so you don't have problems down the road.

Absolutely, as long as they will fit on the scanner bed. After you scan them you can save the image as is, or cut and past sections of the whole ( one photo out of four for example) and work with the individual photo in photoshop.

Normally if you scan 4 photos at the same time it will be saved to your computer as 1 photo.

some scanners if you place 2 or 4 photos in with about a cm gap will scan them in one but save them seperately. depends on your scanner though.

As indicated above,

Put four (or five) photos on your scanner.
Copy the file four (or five) times.
Crop each photo and save.

If you can fit them in there. Depends on ur scanner
