What size pictures can I get with this scanner? (4800 x 9600dpi)?

I'm thinking about buying a scanner and was wondering what size pictures I would be able to get from it. And would I get different results from scanning negatives and pictures?

Here is the resolution or whatever it is:

4800 x 9600dpi resolution.
48-bit depth.

What max size picture you get depends on the scanning surface size, not upon the resolution.

Negatives is only so large, isn't it?
