i dont know how to use a scanner! can someone help me please ?

ive never used a scanner before i dont understand how, its plugged into my pc and is turned on but i dotn know how to scan things... your assistance is greatly appreciater

i dont have the manual or anything because the scanners old

(no cd which came with it or anything)

Install software from CD scanner came with
Read it's manual (might be on the CD)
then probably use the SCAN option / aquire option under FILE in a graphics program
