I have an old Epson 610 scanner that I'd like to use to scan documents into PDF format. I know newer scanners have that ability with the software that comes with them.

Is there something I can use to create them with this old scanner?

Most old scanners also have have the capacity, you can either load the some software (graphics) that can help you scan into pdf format or you can also direct do a "Save As..." and choice the format that you would like to save you file as in this case, PDF format.

All the best...

Get OmniPage http://www.nuance.com/omnipage/ or
paperport http://www.nuance.com/paperport/standard/

Check to be sure you scanner is covered but we have started using this with all our scanners and it just seems to work very well. Does great pdf outputs.

Although I elected the paperport system you might also try
http://www.softi.co.uk/scanwiz.htm
it is cheaper and says it will work with any TWAIN scanner (twain is the windows interface to the scanner)

Yes - it's called "PDF factory pro". It's a printer driver that outputs the file as a PDF instead of passing it to a printer.
