I try to use ink cartridges to the very last drop. When the printer gives me an error message saying that the cartidge is empty, I simply reinstall that cartridge, and then continue this process until the cartiridge is completely dry. Can this damage the printheads?

If possible, please provide a source.

Hoping for some advice on the best laptop I can buy for up to £500.

- I'll be using it at home (so doesn't need to be mega-portable, battery life doesn't need to be amazing)

- I need it to be speedy for surfing the 'net, downloading music and other media (I have a whizzy wireless broadband connection)

- Able to run multiple applications (music, video, internet, standard office apps)

- Ideally, have a slot for my memory card! (from my digi cam - SD)

- A decent, large as possible screen

Any experts out there?

Anything you'd recommend?

Am I asking too much for the price??

every time i try to do system restore on my lab top it tells me that it couldnt and to select a different date to set it at,well...after the first 7 times that i tried different dates, i realized somthing was not right...any suggestions to my problem?...

I have been having a problem with my laptop it's about 3 years old and does not have a warrenty. It will not charge, and the repair man told me that the mother board is fried. So how much do you think it would be to get it fixed? There is already a thirty dollar service fee. Gezz this is gonna cost me a lump sum of cash, huh.

i have a mouse that is misbehaving. when i click on an program icon, it opens two or three copies of the program. i can 't highlight text properly (it highlights everything with one click) . my computer is effectively paralysed. i tried new driver but to no avail. any help please. Help! My screen resolution has only two choices suddenly and is stuck on less! and the color quality has only one option of "less (4)" and i cant change it to anything! I tried going to troubleshooting, changing other options on advancedsettings, and restarting. NOTHING will help! Help me!

My Canon ip4300 uses the 5PGBK and the 8BK cartridges, both black. I don't really care that one is "more black" or whatever the difference is. The 5PGBK tank is low and the other one hasn't been touched, so obviously it's been printing from only the one tank. How do I get the printer to utilize the other tank? The Preferences and Help files of course have been no help...

I have a dell inspiron 630m laptop which has a IDE 40pin IDC, connector (according to my invoice details). I have been looking for a HDD to buy from the internet but hardly any of the online retailers sepecify the number of pins, and the ones that do, say its 44pin. Can I assume that all IDE (ATA) HDDs are 40 pin unless stated otherwise?

I have bought a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop without a internal wireless card, so, I bought an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection - Network adapter - Mini-PCI Express - 802.11a/b/g, card. But that card doesnot work because it says that it works only on Intel and Centrino mobile technology platforms and my laptop has AMD Turion 64 mobile technology.
