here's the scenario. i have an ati radeon 9600 witha dvi and dsub port. i've had my widescreen 17" hooked up the dvi for a while but tonight i hooked up my old 17" to the dsub in hopes of a dual monitor setup. what i ended up with was not quite was i expected.

i want to be able to play counterstrike (pc game) fullscreen on my widescren monitor then be able to interact on the 2nd screen while im waiting to play. however, when i click on somethin on the second screen, counterstrike minimizes on the first screen.

anyone know what i should do?

Specs of the Laptops:

Apple MacBook Pro, 2.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, a 15.4-inch color screen, SuperDrive, 100 GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 Graphics Processor with 128 MB of GDDR3 Memory

or

Dell Latitude D620 T2500, 2.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 14.1-inch color WXGA+ screen, SuperDrive, 100 GB hard drive, 256 MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M TurboCache

I have a choice between the two, money not being a factor in this decision.

thanks

Is there a way that you could access the part of your computer that shows all of the letters you typed?!?
I wrote something super important and i copied it and instead of pasting over something i re copied it. I really need to see what I typed, It's life or death. Any knowledge will help!!!

i.e. can I use my older 1.5 hard drives in a motherboard with 3.0 ports? I know that a 3.0 hard disk will work in a 1.5 motherboard port, but vice versa?

Anyone have it working?

OK, i'll tell you the problem: My laptop is having several errors and fails to open programs such as Internet Explorer, Outlook, and many other important functions on my computer. This happened just recently and I have no idea how it did, because I haven't tampered with it in any way. I also need to know if I should get a new computer or if there is a way to reverse/fix the problems i'm experiencing. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063 that is less than seven months old, for those of you who are wondering.
Another thing you might want to know is that the problem is not associated with a virus...that's all I know about the whole ordeal.
Answers are greatly appreciated!

is 64MB referring to the current card and so if say i put a 128MB card it would be up to 128MB or is it referring to what the computer can handle ?

is that referring to the current card, or does it mean that the computer cannot handle anything more?

Motherboard is a MSI 645 Ultra P4 board
I can get a better price on a 1gb pc3200 ram chip.
So even though it won't increase performance can I put it in, instead of the pc2700 it's designed for?

Will it even have a hard drive? Or will all data soon be stored offsite? Will it have a lot of processing power, or will that, too, be performed offsite, all through the internet.
