Specs of the Laptops:

Apple MacBook Pro, 2.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, a 15.4-inch color screen, SuperDrive, 100 GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 Graphics Processor with 128 MB of GDDR3 Memory

or

Dell Latitude D620 T2500, 2.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 14.1-inch color WXGA+ screen, SuperDrive, 100 GB hard drive, 256 MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M TurboCache

I have a choice between the two, money not being a factor in this decision.

thanks

Heck, go with the Mac. OS 10 is solid, you can take it easy while your peecee-using friends try to figure out which virus rotted out their Window OS or sent all their credit card numbers to some thief in Russia. No viruses on the Mac! (All you peecee folks please spare me the whines that viruses for the Mac are POSSIBLE and COULD happen SOMEDAY and blah, blah. I'm too busy getting work done to bother with paranoid theories.)

The Mac already has everything Microsoft has been promising for the undelivered Vista and more coming soon in OS 10.5.

Besides, if you really must run Windows at some point, a Mac will do that just fine with Boot Camp.

It all depends on what you prefer. Do you want a MAC or a PC? With mac you have some great stuff to go along with it like garage band and the new tiger os, but it really isn't compatible with any hardware or software that isn't MAC friendly. Apple pretty much forces you to buy their products if you want to upgrade. With the Dell you get the ease of a Windows operating system, and the compatibility with just about any hardware and software you can get your hands on. The downside with the PC is that it is a bit more velnerable to viruses than MAC's are, but thats not enough to get me to re learn a whole new operating system. In the end, take the Dell.

Dell or anything NOT Mac. Most companies I would say 99.999% use a Windows based system. SO Mac is OUT!

Of Course Apple. Reason is simple every component is proprietary of Apple which makes more secure and yes it gives better performance.
