My computer is open and I am trying to find the sound board can any one help me identify it?

Take a look at the back of the computer and find the socket where you plug in the speakers/headphones. This socket would be on the sound card. If the socket is attached to the main, big board, then it is "integrated" with your motherboard and there is no separate sound card.

Hope this helps. You didn't give much detail, but finding the speaker socket and following the parts from there should give you a start on finding the sound board itself.

BTW - the proper term is "sound card", not board.
