Hi i bought Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme QX6700 2.66GHz 8MB Cache 1066MHz and NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI Motherboard .. not sure what kind of case i need for this. Any advice would be appreciated.

ok YOU NEED a mid tower something like the ULTRA Aluminus With 80mm fan in front, 2x120 in rear Fan on the Side and a special SLI setup GPU cooler. That would be my recommendation, Although the Aluminus could be substituted, make sure you have one with vents and side CPU duct, it'll make a difference.

Depends on what you like, what your budget is and what else you are going to do with it.
Usually, a miditower will fit your needs. But so will a desktop case. Goto a store and check out the various models, decide which one you like and buy that one.
Make sure it has plenty of room for installing both a DVD-burner (or player) and your harddisk(s), as well as a floppydrive.

The manual for the motherboard will tell you what kind of case you need for it.
