how do i reconfig my laptop i know nothing about config?

i have no signal on my laptop so i want to reconfig i went into properties but don't know what to do please help

Assuming your laptop is fairly new, and you also need a wireless router / access point. No Access Point - No Signal!!!

Check your User Manual for instructions to enable WiFi, some laptops have a switch you have to turn on.

Failing that, call the store where you bought it and also check the FAQ's on the manufacturer's website.
