Ports such as the IEEE 1394 port are used for connecting peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and digital cameras to the computer. IEEE 1394 is Plug and Play, which means that you can usually use an IEEE 1394 device by just plugging it into the appropriate port. Microsoft® Windows® establishes communication between your computer and the device automatically.

The IEEE 1394 Standard
IEEE 1394, also known as FireWire, is an external bus standard that supports data transfer rates of up to 400 Mb/s. The IEEE 1394 high-speed serial bus complements USB by providing enhanced PC connectivity for a wide range of devices, including consumer electronics audio/video (A/V) appliances, storage peripherals, other PCs, and portable devices.
Main Features
Data transfer rates of up to 400 Mbps
A single port can be used to connect up 63 external devices
Isochronous data transfers, implying data delivering at a guaranteed rate. This makes it ideal for devices that need to transfer high levels of data in real-time, such as video devices.
Plug and Play and hot plugging compatible
Provides power to the peripheral devices connected

Its better known as 'firewire' because its a very fast way of getting data in and out of your computer. It was originally developed by Apple and found only on their range of computers but now its common on just about every PC as well. I use a firewire connection for video editing to connect my digital camcorder to my PC so that I can get digitised footage in and out and also to be able to control the camera from the PC.

It could simply just mean that he really hasnt given it much if any thought at all, purely because they friends! However, you have to look at the girl...does he know her,are they friends etc.then perhaps it would make sense to the whole yes/no! I however do think us women do overthink things and tend to blow things way out of preportion instead of waiting for it! So perhaps ladies should learn to be patient and not rush emotions etc...
