I am looking to buy a macbook. But i don't really need it until september next year. I was just wondering what time of year the new range of mac products are available each year? I know they have a big expo each year when they announce them all etc.

OK my external harddrive has decided to stop working and it wont boot up at all, it usually makes a wurring noise but nothing, im gonna loose all my data if i cant get it working, anyone got any ideas?

just got the sweepstakes panasonic refurbished laptop given to me. i do not have any idea how to get started. it will be mine and i do not understand all the settings and how to get internet to go with me wherever i go. and what internet would be right for me and the cheapest. i can deal with it being slow if i have to, but i do not have any extra money to spare. how and where to start. it said it come with 1000 free minutes,but i still do not that much about it. i just need some help getting started. i can use it after i get it setup,i believe.

My computer says my camera is not plugged in even though it is, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Nothing happened. So I erased everything and tried to install it again. The CD won't install the camera. What should I do or what am I doing wrong? All answers would be greatly appreciated

i have an ipod (30 gig) but i havent opened it yet many say you need a mac but im pretty sure you you can run it on windows xp 2000 as long as your computer has a usb 2.0 connection which mine does can i please get some answers to back my theory up thankyou

I have a wireless Logitech mouse (MX610).

The first few months of using my mouse were great. Then, more and more, I noticed that when I do a single-click with my mouse, the action performed on my screen is as if I had done a double click. For example, in Outlook, I would click on a message to preview it but instead, the email will open in a new window, as if I double-clicked. The frequency of this is probably about 30-40% of my single clicks are treated as double-clicks. As you might imagine, this is driving me crazy.

I've tried changing the double-click sensitivity settings but that doesn't make a difference.

I know this isn't just an issue with my finger and its clicking abilities since my wireless mouse at home responds perfectly as it should.

Any idea why this is happening? Is it hardware? Software? Is this a legitimate issue to call Logitech about?

I have a 1998 NEC computer that doesn't have a CD rom. I had my brother try and transfer files from this computer to our new one. He tried using several things, including a memory stick, IPOD, transferring files onto a disk, and then something used for transferring files...all to no avail. The old computer didn't recognize any of these things. Do you have any ideas on how to transfer a Word file from our old computer to our new?

I Scan allot of photo's for my job and i noticed that the ones that were scanned like 3 years ago are not as crisp and vibrant. they also look like the color has faded a little.

I have a relatively new computer (not even 2 years old) and usually when i start it up it has first always made a louder humming sound, then yesterday I turned it on and that humming noise didn't go away, I tried starting and restarting it multiple times, moving it off the desk (maybe it was vibrating the desk) to the floor, I left it off all night, turned it on this morning and still same noise going on, I opened up the side panel check out the fans inside, it doesn't sound like it is coming from the fans but from the processor or mother board. It basically is the sound the computer makes when it first loads up and it just won't stop, My computer is working fine though. And this noise is driving me insane... Any info would be great.. thanks..

i own an Asus P4P800-X motherboard, with a Celeron D at 512 FSB speed.currently running with ddr333, but thinking of using ddr400 soon. but according to the mobo's manual, ddr400 only can run in FSB 800's processors (such as P4 with HT,etc...). Any guide? wut would happend if i stil want to use the ddr400, will i burn the processor?
