I want to upgrade from 1GB (2x512) to 2GB (2x 1GB). Apple's prices are nuts. Places like Ramdirect and Kingston have much better prices, but I want to avoid any compatabilty issues.

Can anyone suggest a reliable place to by a memory upgrade?

After reading other similar questions, I think dust is probably the cause of my computer's inability to completly power up (fan starts up, light comes on, hear a beep and then it just dies). All I really want to do is save my pictures that I have on it saved on it onto a disk; is it possible to repair, or somehow jimmy it to work one last time to get them before it dies??

My PC seems to be reluctant to start up but once it does it doesn't generally pose any problems. The main issue is at the start when I switch on-it has a tendency to freeze and I often have to switch on and off a few times before it finally gets as far as the desk top and I'm able to log onto net or work in stand alone mode. The cursor occasionally gets stuck and the only option is to switch on and of again. I've run a virus check- Norton is not picking up on any thing. Please help.
