i have an ipod (30 gig) but i havent opened it yet many say you need a mac but im pretty sure you you can run it on windows xp 2000 as long as your computer has a usb 2.0 connection which mine does can i please get some answers to back my theory up thankyou

you can run your ipod on a PC because they are compatible with both Mac and PC and well yeah all you need is a USB connection and you will eb good to go. Oh but dont forget to download itunes (unless it came with teh CD already) so you can padd songs to your ipod or whatever else u want to add

Yes, any version or type will work as long as you have iTunes, you have a USB connector unit, and a USB adapter that comes with the iPod.

PS- Without iTunes, the adapter just charges your iPod.

I have an Ipod and it works just fine with Windows XP, no problems at all.

you need to receive the ipod software that incorporates the ipod. It installs itunes. How did you get music on your ipod if not out of your computing gadget? I heard that in case you basically plug on your ipod for your computing gadget with out any software than that's going to erase all the music on your ipod. desire that facilitates.

Ipod and Itunes can also run in Windows machines, plug it in and enjoy!

PS: You do need Itunes
