No, sorry :( They are totally different so even if you could find an adaptor to connect them physically it definitely wouldn't work and might even break something.

Your best bet is to pick up a Firewire PCI or PCMCIA card for your computer cheep of eBay and do it that way.

Hope that helps, good luck!

hi berrache..., I even have some information for you and you will no longer like it yet it relatively is the evening to grant people undesirable information so enable me to describe it like this. your hard rigidity is okay it is your motherboard it relatively is undesirable. first element is have you ever heard of the chipset in a motherboard? nicely through fact of this your usb does not workyour chipset has went out and you will choose a working laptop or laptop repairman to repair it. and you may get an extesion on your usb yet no longer a replace so it is going to possibly choose a clean motherboard and that's the place a working laptop or laptop repairman is provided in. I actually have a chum it relatively is a working laptop or laptop repairman and he had on magnefying glasses on over a super magnafying glass over head. i asked him what he replaced into doing and he defined that he replaced into fixing a working laptop or laptop so he allowed me to do the fairly some paintings and that i watched him i made a promise that i wouldn't in any respect do any laptop fix without that style of setup. good success i wish i replaced into efficient to you

I don't know exactly what you are trying to connect, but if you go through your computer...
A hub can connect the devices (sort of).
If you are trying to cut off a cable and change the end, the above answer is correct.
