I don't see the picture frame in the DHCP client table in the router settings so I'm assuming it's not being recognized. I disabled the encryption with no result. The frame uses a D-Link 802.11b adapter, and I have my router set to mixed (b&g), so it should work, but its not. I have another computer on the network and a laptop at times and my son's X-Box, all with no issues connecting.

I have wireless right now and it constantly drops connection. I play online poker a lot and I constantly get booted off hands cause of that.

Is cable internet the same, or would it be more reliable and stable? if its more stable I am thinking about getting cable. and one more question: I only live in a rented basement rite now, so if I get cable internet do I have to tell my landlord?

Please help, I am having no luck with getting my wireless network working properly. At the moment I have a 3com router that is linked up to laptop using a wirless card. Recently, I tried to add a third pc to the network, and have noticed that the wireless facility has ceased to work altogether. In the third machine, I get connected but get the message 'access denied' when trying to open IE.
Am I better off switching over to a wired connection for two machines, and leaving the laptop wireless. Should I get it professionally installed. I need a permanent solution. Thanks.

I have a normal desktop computer with XP. I've installed Apache, MySQL and PHP. I've copied my website to the local root folder. When I type "http://localhost/" or "http://192.168.1.101/" on the browser, the website appears. No problem.

I'm using Shared Internet Connection using Linksys Wireless Router. The ip address of the connected computers go from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.2.149. The problem comes. I can't seem to access "http://192.168.1.101/" from other computers in the home wireless network. The browser shows "The page cannot be displayed". How to fix this? I want my PC to act as a server in the home network.

One more question. The external ip addres of the router is 60.50.243.83. I've changed the router settings to perform "Port forwarding". I've changed the settings to forward port 80 requests to my PC (192.168.1.101). I tried typing "http://60.50.243.83" on another computer's browser outside the network. But "The page cannot be found". How can I fix this problem?

It worked well at my house under a wireless network. I moved to another city and live with my roomates and I cant seem to use the internet with this connection. I went to my girlfriend's house and get the same message even though her connection isgnal is great and so is my roomates. What can I do to fix this? Is somethign wrong with my laptop? I just bought it on January 5th.

I know all the keys to the wireless connections, thats the thing....Im dumbfounded as to why my girlfriend and roomates can get great reception to the signal and use the internet, but I get anexcellent signal, yet I cannot use the internet.

I used my ibm laptop to access the internet in Kinkos. They have a software named Lapnet that disables your wireless network card. It is supposed to enable the settings when you log out. However, it did not. Now I can not access my internet from home. I checked the remove programs and it is not there. I turned my routers off and on. Tried to trick the laptop to use windows to find a signal rather then ibm connections. Plug in the Ethernet cable and the internet still could not be picked up. The kinkos people told me to come back to store and click restore exit when the wizard comes up. Did not work. The wireless network shows enabled. However the signal is 0%. If I plug in the cable it just states low connectivity. I don't know what else to do.
