Computer Networking - January 2007

I have installed LAN card after which on computer start, my computer shows the following information,



Press Ctrl+S to enter setup

After pressing Ctrl+S, it shows,



Intel PRO/100 Boot Agent Version 2.0 setup Program

Boot Protocol : PXE or RPL

PnP/ BEV Boot : Enable or Disable

Default Boot : Local or Network

Local Boot : Enable or Disable

Prompt time : 2 or 3 or 5 or 8

Setup Message : Enable or Disable


Can anyone tell me that how should I configure these options?

It really pisses me off. I can't watch these videos online smoothly. Example: YouTube. Can anyone tell me what's the problem? I believe my broadband connection is fast enough and there's no problem with it.
If anyone has any solution, please tell me.

Is there any reason to not compress an entire FTP drive?

I need a temporary fix for my FTP server, which is out of space. Is it safe to use Windows to compress these files, or will that somehow screw up the files?

I have 2 servers at my homeoffice, both connected to a router with internal IPs, router is connected to RoadRunner business line with 1 dedicated/static IP. Both of my servers have the MS DNS server installed. How can I assign them their own nameserver names so that I can start using them for hosting websites? I am currently using the registarar's name servers to point my clients' websites to my IP however I would like to see how i can have my own name servers. Thank you,

i've tried again and again to access VNManga but it keeps saying that it can't find the server...i've tried to access the site with different browsers and i've also tried http://72.232.199.226/~vnmanga/truyentranh

I purchased a Belkin router, and after much research I found out that I should enable security setting on it. I enabled WPAPSK on my Belkin router, but do I have to enable this on my laptop also? My laptop is the only device using the wireless router. If I do have to enable WPA on my laptop, how do I accomplish this? I've tried several different ways, but after I refresh my wireless connection, it goes back to an open status, instead of a secured WPA status.

every time i use my AIM account with ichat it works the first time perfectly but if i sign off and try to sign on a second time it does not connect it says i loose the connection with the host but if i restart the computer and try it again it works the first time but then does the same thing again what could be the problem i have the latest version of ichat its ichat 3.1.6? if i try it on my imac it works good but if i try it on my macbook then it does not work i have a later version of ichat on my imac
