There are several manufacturers that have great information on how to use thier products. One of hte most common and most popular is Linksys. They have a very nice learning library including the following link on how to setup a router, wireless router, etc..

Useing a router is the best and safest way to be on the net. Just get a router and plug it in. If it doesn't work try to unplug it for 10 seconds this is how you reset a router. If still not working you'll have to call your ISP and let then know what type or brand of router you are wanting to use and they will change their software so you can surf the net better and faster then before! Woo Hoo!

first you have to install the wireless router then you restart your computer plug it in to the usb port then go to your internet prefrences and select the router
