People PC is strictly dial-up, not high speed.

Earthlink does do broadband on some cable systems though it doesn't offer any price advantage that I've ever seen compared to the cable operator's service.

Normally your best choices are DSL from your local telco or cable internet from your cable provider.

DSL is generally cheaper at the bottom end of the performance scale, but cable internet tends to be much faster and more reliable especially if it's a relatively new build-out -- any system less than 5 years old generally.

I would say neither they are both dial up that I know of. Get DSL or something if you want a cheap high speed connection. I have wow Internet and cable I believe its 30.00 a month for the Internet and its pretty fast. Sometimes if you want that extra speed its worth upgrading to broadband.
