Hello,
(ANS) The answer I suspect depends upon the make & model of your computer's motherboard (also called the system board). Older computers obvioulsy had the USB version one ports on the rear (USB Slots) and these are often built into the motherboard so its not possible to either remove them or swap them out for something else.
SOLUTION,
If you do want too (or need too) add USB version two ports to your computer then this can in most cases be easily done. You can buy an add on USB 2.0 card, they normally come with atleast x2 ports or slots (some come with x4). They dont cost a great deal, last time I looked the cost was around £30 - £40 quid.
The USB 2.0 card would fit into a spare (empty) expansion slot inside the system unit (base unit) of your computer. The USB 2.0 card would also come with some software drivers for the card, so that your computers operating system (i.e. Windows, Linux, Mac,etc) would recognise the card and be able to talk to it. After that your done, it should work like any normal USB port.
**USB version 2.0 is faster or is high speed i.e. can transfer data faster then version 1.0. Sorry! cannot recall the actual data transfer rates off the top of my head.
Best Regards
IR

Buy a card with USB 2.0 and ask someone to install it for you (if you don't know how to do it yourself). When you will go to buy it, just look that it better has more ports than less, like 4, not 2.
