Check to see if the software or driver needs updated. I had the same problem one time and I updated the software. Now it works fine.

Try opening your browser and in the URL address bar type: http:://198.162.1.1. This should take you into your router settings. Leave the top line blank. Type your password on the 2nd line. If you have not changed the password the default password is : admin.
Check your settings, that you are using the correct type of connection, and that your network settings (IP address) are correct. The usual choice for settings is to set all of your network settings to obtain a network address. There are a nuimber of factors to be considered. Are you on a network with one or more computers? What type of internet connection are you using? Routers and modems can go bad. If possible, borrow someone else's to check your setup. If the same problem exists, contact your internet service provider to find out what your network settings should be. If your are on a dsl they can test your signal. Also, make sure the network adapter on your computer is working properly. One or two lights on the adapter should be on or blinking when the computer is on.. If your adapter has two lights, one light should be on and the other blinking.

Unplug the WRT54G. Use a paperclip to hold down the reset button the back of the router while you plug it back in. Hold reset down for 40 seconds. The router will reset to all defaults. The default userid is blank and password is Admin. The reset works on all Linksys devices.
