there are many ways . I try explain one by one :

at first try to make a network . for this you need two network cards and one cable or if both have usb just usb cable . now connect them to each other and of you use windows go to my network places and configure your network . I think windows have options to transfer your data to another computer more easily it name is 'Files and Setting Transfer wizard' just search your computer for that and you can find it easily.

there are some other ways too. like flash memory , dvd rewritable
or if you have a fast internet sending data

excuse for bad english
enjoy :D

You cannot back up your programs and reinstall them on a new computer. If you wanted to do that you would need their original installers to run them on your new computer. What you can transfer though is your old files and for that you would need a network or a usb drive (flash drive) or a cd burner to burn those files into a cd etc... Good luck...

If you want to reinstall any of your programs try looking for their installers online. Chances are most of the programs you use are available for free online (legally or illegaly).

Cheers!

This may not be exactly on the subject of using the transfer your files and settings through the network, but another option may be to take the installers of the programs that you have installed on your computer and put them on a thumb driver or external hard drive....iPod,...or something...and copy them to the other computer and install them.... and download the other installers that you dont have ....and install them too....

A USB Flash drive worked great for me when I moved things from my old computer to my new one.
