Click start > Control Panel, Then double click network connections. Now double click on the adapter you need to configure an IP addrss for. When the network properties opens, Highlight Tcp/Ip and click properties. This should bring what you are looking for

Start>Control Panel>Network Connections>Local Area Connection>Properties

Make sure TCP/IP is installed. Then highlight TCP/IP and select properties. Make sure Obtain IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are both checked.

Close out and reboot your computer.
