I would like to know the command and its syntax to copy a file from one user to another user in LInux ..plz help me out .and plz be descriptive ..

I have a netgear 240 wireless router (240mbps). my isp is Verizon. When i set up the router using the disc i lose internet on the computer im setting it up with even though it says its connected. Then I have to call Verizon to restore the correct settings after i disconect the router otherwise i wont have internet. When i connect it and all the correct lights are on, on the modem and the router I still do not have any internet on either of the 2 computers. I have called Verizon about this and they just send me to Netgear which sends me back to Verizon. I have run out of ideas and before i call someone like the GeekSquad I'd like to see what you guys can think of.

I have a new laptop and am tired of using long phone wires and tying up the phone line to connect to the internet. If i buy a wireless internet card, do i have to pay monthly or is it just that one payment? Also, which card is the fastest and more affordable?

I had two computer in network ABC and connected through a wireless router. and now i got a notebook pc with wireless card so how can connect it to my ABC network wirelessly?
I am using windows XP.

My internet connection regularly drops now and then. Other people who I know who are also on the same ISP as I am also have the problem. Sometimes the internet connection can stay active for up to 4 hours - and other times it can only stay active for about 5-10 mins before reloading.

I have had this problem with the connection when using my router. My friends who use the standard broadband ADSL modem also have the connecion dropping problems.

Is there a reason for this? I have tried contacting my ISP for support, but it always takes to long to wait to speak to someone!! + a £.50p a min charge as well!

The problems with my connection only started when i switched internet packages (but stayed with the same ISP, thus the internet settings also stayed the same.

Any suggestions on how to overcome this problem would be great help for a lot of people, including myself!

I currently have a Linksys 802.11b with one wired computer and xbox 360 and two wireless labtops and was wondering if i bought a Linksys 802.11g will the speed increase at all? If not how can i make my broadband speed faster, downloads take forever (Espeacially on the xbox) I have Verizon Dsl.

I have a problem with my msn whenever I try to talk to my friends msn keeps freezing or whatever I type the other person can't see it or vice versa. Does anybody what the problem is. Also I can't seem to retrieve my e-mail from msn.

I recently found an disc that my friend made a powerpoint of all our old pictures!
But now I want some of the pictures saved on my computer!
I can't seem to find out how to get the pictures saved to the my pictures part of my computer!

She left town 2 years ago, and we haven't been in contact for awhile, so I can't ask her!
