I let my girlfriend borrow my car for the weekend. When she returned it, I realized she had been smoking inside...a lot! Now my car reeks of cigarette smoke. Plus, she didn't use the ashtray and just flicked the ashes all over the seats and carpets. How can I get rid of both the smell and the burn marks?

.........
Guys,

Help me out here.

I bought this used 99 Accord EX.
Honda recommends 195/65R15 89H tires.
The car has two 195/60R15 87H (front tires) and 195/60R15 88H (rear tires).

With the lower profile tires (other dimensions being same),
1) Do I have faulty Odometer/Speedometer readings?
2) Any concerns on ABS?
3) Honda recommends 30psi pressure on tires. What should I use?

Thanks in advance

When it rains the car shuts off and you have to turn it right back on when it rains and when your driving it wont go over 25mph. The only way to prevent it from shutting down is to keep one foot on the gas and one on the brake when you stop at a light it will also backfire. Its only when it rains hard and when it stops raining and the roads dry it drives perfectly fine. What could it be?

I often try to find the cheapest gasoline I can, which in my area is a brand called "Spirit." However, I just got an '06 Pontiac Torrent, and I want to make sure it isn't taking gasoline that can hurt its performance. I have also heard (from unreliable sources) that off-brands such as Spirit can be harmful to my car. Is this true, or just common belief?

I'm doing a charity event in a few months time for which we need to paint a car and then get people to sign it. What can we use to make the signatures permanent on the car's body? Will a normal permanent marker do the trick, or will wear/rain/wind etc wear the sig off over time? Is there some form of varnish we could put on them to seal them on? Any suggestions welcome.

Anyone got any idea about that? Power everything, sunroof. body with a little paint scatch. one back seat window is gone, and the motor needs to replace or fix, not running.

$650, worth the price? if i offer$500, good deal on that?

How much will cost me to fix the car?

I used to always change the oil in my cars myself. All it would cost is a $10 filter, and less than $10 of oil, plus an hour on the weekend. I only recently started letting the local garages do it just because they would only charge about $20 to $30 for complete service. Now that I have moved, Jiffy Lube is one of the only places to go, and they are charging $38 for their oil changes, and that is just for the cheapest one. Why are they so expensive? Is everything they do really worth the extra money you fork over to them to finish your oil change in 15 minutes?

I have 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8. I put new pads and rotors on the front, and new drums and shoes in the back. After this was done you sometimes feel the whole jeep shake when applying the brakes. Also the left front brake got real hot and started smoking. I have now had the brake hoses and calipers changed also. I drove it about 1/2 mile and the left front brake smells hot and is smoking again. What else would cause this everything has been replaced within 3 days time. I have had it checked by a different shop and the said everything looks good and their should be no problem.

It is the freon sealer built into the freon. They say it will seal leaks as you shoot it into the system. I believe that it is nothing but a gimmick but my dad thinks the stuff really works. Any advice on whether freon sealers work. I have an R-134 AC System. It leaks out every summer and needs recharging.
Thanks

I recently installed front axles on my toyota camry, and now the bearings are worn out. I believe that the mechanic should have detected the bad bearings prior to fixing the axle. He claims that my car is old and something can wear out at anytime but i believe that if he did a complete diagnosis the problem could have been detected and fixed earlier and I wouldn't have to pay another fee for labor.
I know that some mechanics take advantage of women...I hope this isn't the case. Please let me know who is wrong in this matter.

Peace and Love
