Okay then. Depending on the type and model and year of the vehicle in question, it could be the brake pad sensors telling you something. See, some of the newer(2000 and up) vehicle's have a sensor on the brake assembly that tells the electronic control modual(E.C.M.) when they are getting too low to be safe or even usable any longer. So, the best thing to do is to check the pads on the discs(rotors) in the front as well as the shoes in the drums(if your vehicle has drums instead of discs) in the back. Or, if you have no space or idea how to do so, please take your vehicle to a certified mechanic/maintenance shop to check them for you. Also, while you're there, get an estimate on how much the cost of labor and parts will be too. Failing the brakes pads and/or shoes being bad, have the brake sensors checked and cleaned off if necessary.

Most likely a blown fuse for instrument panel. Brake light stays on if the e-brake is not all the way off (try pulling it up by hand). There may be a problem with your ABS (bad sensor or wire) causing you brake light to stay on, or the sensor at the master cylinder may be bad since you say the fluid level is fine.

Could just be a toast sensor. I would have the car scanned to find out before something more serious might happen.
