Because you can have lots of experience but still be ignorant in specific areas. The problem is, if you don't know you are ignorant in those areas you spew the wrong information but assume you are right.

Many of my answers are to tire related questions. That's what I know best and because its a safety issue and nobody else here has a clue, I feel obligated to answer these. Read this one for example and tell me I don't know my stuff;

That's why I stick to only what I know I know. My Best Answer rate speaks for itself - and if it was because I voted for myself I think my average would be a whole lot higher. It's because I'm selective and not the omni-answerer like some others.

Given the way in which this question was asked though, I'd be surprised to get a best answer this time :)

or, just going out on a limb here, how about its tough to diagnosing a problem unless you have the p.o.s right in front of you??????????? no Ase but employed by several new car dealerships for 11 years..........
