How bad is the effect of the sun on your car? I mean I understand that the sun generally makes things fade, but what effect does it have on car exteriors\interiors? I ask because I live in a very sunny and hot portion of the US.

my sister lived in las vegas and parts of her interior began to melt due to the heat. make sure your windows are tinted and keep the sunshade on when you're parked. try opening the windows about an inch or so too.

The sun's rays are very detrimental to the car's interior. They cause fading, drying and cracking, particularly on the dashboard. If possible, get one of those window shade things (they're made of cardboard and decorated with various scenes or sometimes covered with aluminum foil-type material) and always use it when the car is pointed at the sun. An added benefit is that the interior will remain cooler and you won't burn your back, butt or hands when you enter the vahicle.

It really isn't that bad. The terrible effect on the interior, though, is that it will become extremely hot inside the car. It might even be hotter than it was outside, and the metal part of the seatbelt would be so hot that you couldn't touch it. Use a shade to cover the front and rear windows.

Over a a great deal prolonged of time the daylight can fade paint and interior fabrics. yet in case you keep your vehicle sparkling and waxed it really is going to a great deal reduce the wear brought about with the help of publicity. Your Honda has a extreme high quality paint job and could delay to the elements fairly nicely in case you keep it wiped clean and waxed.

Everything wears out faster when it's subjected to extreme temperature changes.
