My 2005 Pathfinder was involved in a crash. My drivers side airbag was deployed. I have heard varying issues on it really being totaled. the damage has pushed my front end into the engine (radiator, etc) but I can't tell if the enginge itself is damaged. It seemed to have removed everything from the front of the frame, but the frame itself (seems) intact. Some say it's a cost analysis, its a new car so they will repair. Then again even though the car is a 2005, it has 82,000 miles on it. With the amound of miles, heavy use, etc. I am not sure I feel safe with "repairs". I have also heard I can get a second opinion on if it is totaled or not. Any truth in any of this? Anyone a insurance adjuster to give me any ideas??

Is it copper grease or something else?

Ideally I want grease in a tub which you can apply to the hinges by hand... cause I can see that's been used before.... not any spray type.

Where would I buy the grease from too please?

My coolant overflow tank is cracked and this morning I noticed a big puddle of antifreeze on the ground. My service engine light has been on and the code is p0133 o2 sensor slow response. The car idles rough and gas mileage is terrible. Do you think the cracked overflow tank could be affecting the o2 sensor?

How do you replace the motor on a 1991 Chevy Caprice (driver side front). I took the existing motor apart and the brush is shattered. I can get an entire replacement motor and gear for about $25. But is the motor rivoted to the regulator or bolted on? If rivoted to the regulator, how do you get to it to remove the motor? Is there enough clearance to use bolts instead of rivots should there be rivots?

I recently bought a battery thinking it was dead. I installed it and immediately I noticed the high / low battery needle on the dashboard was pointing more toward the low than high. Isn't it supposed to be in the middle? This new battery lasted two days before going dead. About eight starts. The little battery light near the speedometer is not coming on. This indicates the charging system is not good. So I guess my alternator is working. My battery cables are in poor shape. They are very worn at the connections to the battery and I am using vise grips with shims aeound the posts to keep them on. Could these bad cables be preventing my battery from getting a good charge as I drive?

while removing the harmonic balancer a piece of the removal tool broke off inside of the crank. It broke off in the hole where the crank bolt go, it broke off enough to where you can get a pair of needle nose pliers on it, but it will not back out. Do you think I can drive this vehicle for a little while in this condition without the pully coming off, and if not how can I repair this problem. I was thinking of putting a torch on the crank and getting it hot enough to pull the piece out, would you recommend this.

I have a 4x4 pick up truck and it is a 1993 model and I use it for my landscaping service. It has been slowly developing a kind of "clanking" sound which has become much more noticeable , especially when I am hauling something heavy in the back.

and I also have noticed the stick shift is very hard to put into gear, in the morning when I first head out in the morning. This morning it was nearly impossible to put in gear, so i decided to skip the day and head to a mechanics shop at a Toyota dealer. Well, they looked at the bottom of truck after putting it up on stilts and said that the rear drive shaft ( $1000)needed to be replaced, as it was about to fall out. and they told me that it needed a new clutch. ($750).

I might not argue with the rear crankshaft needing replaced, but I can get one used for 1/3 the price.

The clutch pedal feels just fine in my truck. Does not feel strange when I press it and there is not a smell from the clutch. Could it be something else?
