I'm still having trouble with starting my car. I've tested the starter, the wires going to and from the starter and they all work. If I move the gear shift just a little, the car will start. I don't know if the shifter is not locking fully in park or what. It's an automatic. I've had answers telling me it's the ignition switch, but I'm not sure where that's at and how quickly it can be replaced. Thanks in advance for any help given.

I drive a 99 chevy car w/ a 3.1 litre engine. A while back, while still under the (extended) warranty, I had to get my intake gaskets replaced. I have heard that that is common with this type of engine. I checked my coolant today and it was dirty and had some "chunks" in it, which is exactly what it looked like when I needed the intake gaskets replaced. I assume it needs to be done again (car has 145k miles on it now) Anybody know how much a shop would charge for that? (I wont take it a dealership)

My dad and I are redoing his old vette and he's giving it to me, I'm pretty much stuck with an orangeish interior. I would like black myself but it wouldn't look very good with the interior.

Hi, I've just bought a Renault Laguna and a Renault Grand Scénic. I bought them used and they only come with one key card each. It says in the manual to bring the car to the dealer with the card for the vehicle and the one to configure. Could I buy one on ebay and match it to my car myself, avoiding dealer costs?
Thanks.

I have an accord 1996, and I need to change my tires. The size on my tires is p185/60R15, but the stock tires on accord 1996 should be p185/70R15. How do I find out if p185/70R15 will fit on my rims? I am not sure if my car has the original factory rims.

Everytime I turn the steering wheel to the right, a loud rattling noise comes from the offside (driver's side) front wheel. This only occurs when the wheels are pointing to the right, and not when the steering wheel is turned right to bring the car back to a straight line after steering to the left.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Lately, my husband and I have been having the same trouble with our garage door openers. The keypad opener works just fine, but our remotes don't allow us to open the garage door unless we are within about 2 feet of the garage, whereas we used to be able to open it from the street as we were pulling into the driveway. Closing the garage door with the remote is not a problem.
Does anyone know why we would be having trouble with opening the garage door with both remotes.
PS, we changed the battery on one of them to see if that was the problem, but it didn't solve anything.
Thank you in advance for your answers to this matter.

When I turn the key the engin turns, but fails to start. Every so often it acks like it will start but dosen't. So I changed the plugs, and it worked for a week or two. At that point I changed the plug wires, cap, rotor button and checked the fuses. I made shure to put every thing back together the way it had came off. it started and I drove to work and back, and now ti dosn't start at all. At this point I take the distributer cap back off inspect it put it back on.... nothing. My next step is checking for fuel and spark. it's getting fuel and spark, how ever the spark from the coil is white, and the spar from the plugs are reddish orange. I am at a loss of what to do now.

1987 Fiero (4 cyl). the master cylinder is in the front of the car. the slave is at the back of the car(mid engined). i've replaced the master & slave cylinder, and a small portion of the the line that connets to he slave. i've bled the system for hours and hours(literally, hoursand hours on end, this thing made me cry) no matter what i do, i get a nonstop stream of bubbles comingfrom the bleeder nipple.(I AM using the correct bleeding teqn. specific to the fiero (jacked he rear of the car, 3 people to bleed it.) when i disconnect the line that connects to the slave, and bleed it from there, i get a nice steady stream of fluid. as soon as i bleed it from the slave, i have air air air. i've tried bleeding the slave backwards as well, this also results in taking in air. keep in mind these things
-this is my second brand new slave cyl
-i've tried 2 differant bleeder nipples(maybe one was sucking air)
-i've made sure it isnt taking air from the connection to the slave(made rubber seal
