I'm still having trouble with starting my car. I've tested the starter, the wires going to and from the starter and they all work. If I move the gear shift just a little, the car will start. I don't know if the shifter is not locking fully in park or what. It's an automatic. I've had answers telling me it's the ignition switch, but I'm not sure where that's at and how quickly it can be replaced. Thanks in advance for any help given.

sounds like your shifter cable needs adjusted, it's not allowing it to lock into park.

Had the same problem when I switched out interiors in my GTP. There's a connection underneath the gear shifter that can easily come unplugged, that basically tells the car it's in "park" and to start. If it comes unplugged, car won't start. Hope this helps.

PS- To get at it, you'll have to remove the center console piece. 6 screws hold it in place. Two under the center compartment, 2 underneath, and 2 by the dash.

Yes, all automatic transmissions vehicles have a neutral safety switch. Next time it happens, try putting the car in neutral and see if it will start.
