the rust is in the cab of the truck on the floor boards and only a little on the roof. i wont it not to come back . and i wont get rid of it

here's a great DIY kit at a great price. Choose the RustSeal Frame Coater kit for $52 by KBS Coatings. Has enough product to clean, prep & permanently seal your rusted areas. Like POR, but more user friendly. First sand to remove the loose flaky rust then proceed with the 3 steps of the kit. RustSeal Loves rusted surfaces to seep into and interlock with the metal for superior adhesion. draws the moisture out of the metal & air to cure.
& Dries into rock hard non porous high performance coating.

Sand down 2 the bare metal, past all the rust. then spray the areas with rust-oleum clean metal primer. if the rust has eaten holes in your truck you can fiberglass and bondo them.

cut the bad metal out and weld in new sheet metal and when done coat the whole floor with POR-15, it will never rust again.

Rust will always come back unless you totally seal out any air from getting to it or cut it out.

remove the section of sheet metal and replace it with new sheet
