I am no car person so any kind of help would be nice. Given, my car is old (1995) Corolla, it's got a mile count of 230,000+... I just gave it a radiator flush and oil change. Everything else about it came up ok but that HC. Are there usual causes for this? I want to learn!

I have a 1992 Toyota Tercel. When I went to get a shoulder replaced because it was oxidized, They told me that I would soon have to replace this flexible pipe that connects to my muffler. Yesterday, I started to hear that the exhaust (vroom vroom) sounds way louder than it should and I'm almost positive that its that pipe. its probably the size of a meter ruler and its flexible. The owner I bought the car from must have put it there to muffle the sound a bit and then sell it. Well, long story short, I think i need to replace that pipe and i think it is the first little pipe that is directly under the clutch when i drive. Anyone know what that is called?

The other day I heard a loud noise coming from my 1997 Ford Explorer. The only way to describe this noise was a loud whining (much like a weed-whacker at full throttle) I could not determine if it was coming from the engine compartment or the undecarriage.

After driving around the last several days it is still happening intermittantly but I was able to diagnose when it happens. It seems to ocurr once in a while when I remove my foot from the accelerator. When I hear the noise begininning it will immediately stop once I depress the accelerator pedal again.

It doesnt happen every time I remove my foot from the accelerator (only once in a while). AC is not in use when it happens and it does not affect the performance of the truck and I notice no change in RPMs - it sounds like a rush of air possibly.

Anyone have an idea?

I recently fixed transmission oil leak but vehicle had been driven with low fl;uid level. I first thought that shudder was from overfilling but still does it after draining some fluid. Note: vehicle does not shudder if driven slowly.

97 dodge avenger 2.5. it just started the other day, as i was pulling in my driveway i noticed my oil pressure was almost nothing. checked the oil, i was about a quart low. filled it, and started driving and nothing. when i got on the highway the pressure started to raise but just a bit. it is still not above the line indicating the proper pressure. it is still low pressure even with oil in it. could it be just a sensor?

I have just swapped from a manual to an automatic car and the auto seems to be drinking petrol. Is there anything I can get the garage to do to make it drink less?!

As a new cadet, I'm very interested in troubleshooting of electrical components such as this. Last time, I've encountered several problems on how to test the solelnoids in our Automatic Transmission for Excavator Crawler, if it is still functioning or not.

I took my entire front end to a body shop and they lost it...... don't ask me how but they pulled that off.

Either way I need a full set of front sheet metal for a 1955 Buick Century 66R body two door.

I've tried all the major recyclers west coast to east coast and can't find them anywhere....... I really don't want to destroy an entire car because of somebody else making a mistake....

Any and all help will be much appreciated. Thank you

When I use the AC in my car, I get really dizzy, and have even blacked out once... which is why I do not use it anymore. I am wondering if this could be a problem with the car?

I am a girl who weights 117lbs, and I drive a Mazda Protege. I know how to change my own flat (I seem to get a lot of them) but I can't seem to get the nuts loose on the tire. The pipe trick doesn't always work if the nuts have been tightened at the mechanics'. There's gotta be some chick tool out there to compensate for my lack of upper body strength.

Hello. I have a 1999 lexus es300. I want to know why there is a squeeky noise when I turn the steering to the right. It sounds like it is coming directy from the steering itself. It makes a funny noise. What is the cause of this and what do I need to do to fix this problem?

I believe I drove through some yellow paint overspray (from road work?) which has dried onto my red car. I tried to get it off using a rubber cooking spatula which put light scratches on my paint. I do I get the yellow paint off and repair the damage I have done without the expense of a paint job?

My friend needs a radiator plug. She needs to drive back a few hours to her job tomorrow, but she shouldn't drive without it. It's ten now, and she needs to find one. She's tried wal-mart, home depot, advance auto, and autozone. Autozone had plugs, but not for her truck.

Anyone know of any chain stores open late or 24 hours, or any stores in the Marietta, Ga area?

Thanks.

How hard is it to replace? Like changing a spark plug or replacing the transmission? Does it require special tools? How often should it be replaced anyway?

It's a 1998 Acura 2.5 TL. I tried to get it out with a C-wrench, and my leatherman and it still won't come out. Now I've even twisted the key. The car itself can turn off, but I can't get the key out. How much will it cost if I go see a professional?
