Changed battery and didnt realize that it locked the radio when the power was cut. I bought the car from a used car dealer, they dont know the code that the former owner had, and neither do i, is there anyway to fix it without taking it to a chevy dealer? really cant afford that.

I had the same problem with my Acura (also bought used). I was fortunate enough to have the owner's manual, and in it was a business card from the dealer who sold it originally. I called them and gave them the VIN number and they gave me the code. Later on I found it printed on a label on the side of the glove box (just a five-digit number, without anything to tell you that's what it was). Try calling a Chevy dealer to find out what to do. I'm sure that this can be taken care of at little or no expense - you may just have to demonstrate that you are the owner of the car.

You'll have to take the car to the dealer. Not unless you know someone. They need to take the radio out in some cases to get the number off the it. They do this because it is a anti theft device that is triggered, and they have to know that the radio isn't stolen.

i'm not sure i comprehend the question. in case you're saying which you have undesirable air flow out of your vents with the ac on, whether it somewhat is general with the heater on, then you definately for sure could have a issue with the temperature administration door in the HVAC gadget case, that's placed approx. at the back of the glove field. it is a malfunctioning door, or the valve that operates the door between warmth and chilly. a good technician could desire to in all probability discern this out for you in approximately quarter-hour. in case you're saying the refrigerant gadget suction area has low rigidity, then the concern is rarely going to be the drier (accumlator). maximum possibly the concern is low refrigerant or a defective compressor valve. good good fortune
