Yes you can. With proper training and the right equipment.
To do it you need to first check all suspension components for wear and damage, after all is good there, check tire pressure, put the car on an alignment machine, check all angles, (caster, camber, toe, included angle, and toe-out) then set caster, camber,(if applicable) and toe-in. Test drive being sure to check for steering wheel alignment and pulling or drifting to one side or the other. If your satisfied with that WHA-LA!! your done.
I've done this myself for 20 yrs.

No. Wheel alignment takes specialized equipment in order to get the precision required. You can get some idea about the procedure and the complexity by going to: http://www.allwheelalignment.com/alignment.htm ...Good Luck...

You can actually. I've seen it done on vehicles in someone's driveway. It may not be as precise as taking it to a shop, but it will get the job done and is cheaper in the long run.

Not if you want it done correctly. You could adjust the toe setting with a toe bar but caster and camber, need to be set up on a front end machine.

No, you need to have a special rack that indicates what adjustments need to be done for the specific vehicle.
