It really does help if you get good stuff. Over time the injectors get build up or partialy cloged, using the injector cleaner helps clean them and allows the to provide a clean, even spray of fuel, thus causing smother operating and better fuel economy.

Fuel Injector cleaner does help, although using it excessively is probably a waste of money. I use a bottle every 3-4 months to keep my injectors clean. If the injectors get dirty, and you pour a bottle of the stuff into the gas tank, after a few tanks you will notice a difference, especially when idling.

Most fuel is clean. But, for what injector cleaner sell for I figure it cheaper than replacing a Fuel Injector and use a bottle every month. It just $1 at the Dollar General. Well, I think it $1.20 now.
