After the intitial 12/12 period, the only way an alignment would be covered is if needed after a warranted repair. Not likely with only a powertrain warranty. Now with an extended warranty, this happens quite often. As in, say a ball joint replacement that was covered, then the alignment would be part of the repair procedure and would be covered as well.

It wouldn't hurt to ask. Generally speaking alignment and wheel balancing, considered costs of driving.

I'm not saying you did but suppose you may have hit a curb or a nasty hole in the road and bent a steering arm, wheel or threw a wheel weight. Nissan can't be expected to fix an accidental mistake.

On the other hand suppose you didn't hit anything and your steering wheel position didn't suit you the day you drove the car off the lot. Nissan most likely would make the slight adjustment to square up your steering wheel.

Your 60,000 mile warranty fixes your drive line only. Engine, CV joints and axles, drive shaft, and rear axle parts if equipped and transmission would be covered.

Hope I didn't confuse you.

No it isn't. Alignments are maintenance, like oil changes and tire rotations. Everything that is covered by the warranty was included in the warranty booklet that came with your vehicle and can be found in the glove box.

Alignments are generally NEVER covered under an extended warranty. But you don't mention the type or year of the car. Some aftermarker warranties might have this coverage. But it is doubtful.

Factory warranty does not include maintenance items such as oil changes. Alignment, belts (even though they are maintenance components), etc. usually are covered for the first 12 months/12,000 miles.
