My coolant overflow tank is cracked and this morning I noticed a big puddle of antifreeze on the ground. My service engine light has been on and the code is p0133 o2 sensor slow response. The car idles rough and gas mileage is terrible. Do you think the cracked overflow tank could be affecting the o2 sensor?

The car is a 1999 Grand Am and it has 125,000 miles. It has a closed radiator system. You can't pour coolant into the radiator. Only directly into the overflow tank.

I agree with the nissan tech, unless your tank is part of the coolant system, as a lot of the newer cars are.
Really more auto info is needed for a accurate help.

The cracked overflow does not affect the o2 sensor directly.
However, you must have your coolant overflow tank repaied immediately, since your engine will turn terribly hot without an effective cooling system.

zero relation between a slow acting O2 sensor and rough idle and a cracked coolant recovery tank. If I knew what year make and model and how many miles? I might be able to help you diagnosis the rough idle.
