I just bought new 18" aftermarket wheels for my Mercedes Benz 99' C280 (RWD). The bolt battern on my car is 5 X 112 and has a 35mm offset. The wheels are 10 - hole (5 X 114.3 or 5 X 100) and have a 45 offset. Only when I put on the aftemarket wheels , both back wheels start to make some sorta grinding noise after each rotation, seems like something is rubbing hard against something else. When I put on my stock tires though, everything is fine. So I'm assuming it's my new wheels. Can the rims be fixed, or are they the wrong fit and I should just give up and try to sell them. Any help would be terrific.

I ran my 1996 cheverolt lumina into a curb while I was driving at about 20mph. Ever since then, the needle of the heat guage has always been about a 1/6inch away from the red zone of the heat guage sensor. My heat guage dashboard light is broken, but when I was driving home last night, I noticed the "hot light" on the dashboard appeared very briefly. Should I get an engine diagnosis done for $90.00 or wait until I see the needle of the heat guage in the red zone?

I have replaced the distributor cap, plugs . . . took it to 3 mechanics & they've found nothing wrong with it. Also, the oil light flashes every once in a blue moon, yet my oil & fluid levels are always fine. The only correlation I have now noticed is that if I shift down when the oil light flashes/warning beep occurs, it stops flashing/beeping. It is a 5spd VW golf. Any ideas? THANKS!

I recently got a car and i wanted to change the oil before I'm about to make a long trip. I have changed oil before, but I'm having trouble this time. The plug to drain the oil out of is stripped. I tried for about an hour to remove the bolt and it was on so tight and already stripped a bit, that i stripped it a bit more. How can i fix this so I can change my oil. Thanks

Sometimes when I start my 99 Malibu (V6), the Brake Light and ABS Light will come on and stay on for a few minutes. This is usually accompanied by the power windows and vent blower not working until I rev the engine a little. The car seems to be running fine once I start driving. I've checked the brake fluid and it seems fine.

I was wondering if this is some electrical problem. I had the battery tested, it was okay, but the terminals were corroded. Right after they were cleaned, I tested my car to see if this fixed the problem. The Brake and ABS lights came on the vent wasn't working until I heard a click from the engine, then the fan was on and the lights off. Other instances, the two lights will come on when I first press my brake pedal after start-up. Could some of this be due to a relay problem, bad battery connection, or something else?

The other day the "Overdrive OFF Indicator" light came on in my car. I was parked in front of the school waiting for my son to get out. The car had been running for about 30 minutes total when the light came on. I don't know if it makes a difference or not but the air conditioning was on for about 20 minutes. I shut the car off and the light has not came back on since.

A lot of cars perform better w/ 40K miles than when they were new! I own a Sebring LXi w/ the Mitsu 3.0 V6 w/ 68,000 miles and wonder how long the Zoom Zoom will last. I've used only Premium Gas and MOBIL fully synthetic oil from mile 1. Since I've driven it from day one I don't notice any loss in power but is it b/c it's so gradual?

One scene that really made me mad was when Paul Walker and his partner insulted and then hustled these two guys in the middle of the movie out of their old 60s musclecars by talking them ito racing "title for title", VERY UNCHARACTERISTIC OF THE SO-CALLED HERO OF THE MOVIE IN MY OPINION.

Undercover, he was cop.

Couldn't at least one of those guys who got screwed out of their musclecars get it back after it was all said and done at the end of the movie. I mean, thanks to their cars, they caught the bad guys, RIGHT?

Hustling them like that was just wrong in my opinion.
