Not very well. It is a Ford. The alternator has a pulley on it which is spun by the crank via a belt. The alternator spins creating electricity. It is transferred through a voltage regulator and then sent to the battery. Alternators can stop working after a while. They have brushes that wear out and they stop producing electricity, or the voltage regulator can go out. If you are running some aftermarket lights or a big stereo system, it is wise to get a high amp alternator. Some where around 100-120 amps. I had an 86 Bronco that killed alternators until I installed a 120 amp alternator.
