It is the freon sealer built into the freon. They say it will seal leaks as you shoot it into the system. I believe that it is nothing but a gimmick but my dad thinks the stuff really works. Any advice on whether freon sealers work. I have an R-134 AC System. It leaks out every summer and needs recharging.
Thanks

Don't use sealers! Anymore I have to use a special detector to identify if there is sealer in the system before I can even hook it up to the A/C machine. Sealers will ruin my machine and eventually your air conditioning. I would recommend getting it fixed right.

It will seal the leaks as long as they are not very large but they will also create restrictions in the a/c system and in some cases damage otherwise good working parts.

If you should use this it can also mess up the a/c reclaimers that are used at a/c repair shops and in some cases the shop could hold you responsible for the repairs to the equipment.

The sealer will seal things you really don't want sealed. Fix the leak.

Don,t put any sealer in the system. Fix the leak you are only making the system worse.
If you bought this car to my shop & I hooked up my $6,000 A/C machine to it & your sealer ruins my machine I would certainly take you to court. Sealer is a temporary (car lot ) fix. Eventually it will ruin your A/C system.

it does work but only on small holes - you need to have the system pressure tested to see where and how many leaks you have - the freon they use has a neon color in it and you will have no problems seeing it when it comes out - it's a bright green color. if there are to many leaks you may need to replace some lines .
